Steve Jobs

I think the story of Steve Jobs to be very depressing. My family has almost all apple products from Ipod to Imac and i think that steve jobs dieing is going to be a huge dip for the company which makes me sad. I think that many people dont know who steve jobs is but he did many great things from the ipad to the Iphone 4s. I was very happy that steve jobs at least got to see the unveiling of the Iphone 4s.

I read a story about how a cross country runner named josh, who heard a competitor scream and ran back to see what happened. The competitor had hurt his ankle and josh carried him a half mile to safety. I think that this is a very good story to hear about on the news. Josh was very brave and kind to help this kid out. A story like this would make a lot of people happy.

Drunk Tractor Driver

A man in PA was arrested for assaulting a police officer after the police officer arrested him for driving drunk aboard a tractor. i dont know why you would get drunk then drive a tractor it sounds dumb to me. I think it was very stupid of the guy to assault the police officer.
It was timely because it happened recently and it was unusual because not a lot of people drive a tractor drunk.

Opening activity

The livescribe pen is a great idea for college and high school sudents because when they are studying for a test all they have to do is look at their notes and use their pens. The smart pen is starting at only 100 dollars so its affordable for most people unlike the ipad. The pen even has an app store which i think is not such a good idea if your using the pens for school work because it would get you distracted.

Wednesday, 14th opening activity

Charlie Sheen is thinking about coming back to T.V i think that is a very bad idea because him being famous is what got him into trouble in the first place. Charlie said he is spending time with his kids which is a really good idea because they didnt get to know him really well when he was on the cast of two and a half men. I think charlie should really stay out of hollywood until he knows he is perfectly sober or can be responsible around it.

I think Google will make a good amount of money because facebook has and millions of devolopers have signed with facebook and they are taking 30% of the profit. Google is only taking 5% of the profit so i think more devolopers will sign with google. so that they can make more money! i think facebook will take a major cut in profit. I think that devolopers will want to quit facebook so that they can get 25% more profit.

9/11

 an old lady who was trepped on the 6th floor and the NYFD went up to help save her. The old lady ended up dieing but there are so many other stories like this that happened that day. There was so many people that needed help but didnt get it and there was so many people helping but there was only so much people could do. 9/11 was a tragic day for everyone.

Slavery In Eagan

Five illegal imigrants have been living in a basement in Eagan working for no pay, no warmth, and little to eat. The illegal imigrants have been working as siding installers and would not tell about their slavery because the owner of the house was threatening to have them deported. Experts say that there are several hundred people in the twin cities living in slavery. For years neighbors would wonder about all the people living there but never suspected human trafficing. The owner of the house made sure none of the imigrants were known well.

Hannah Awnsered the bahamas she has wanted to go but she hasnt gotten the chance yet. Over summer break Hannah and her 4 siblings traveled to chicago to visit her cousin.
